O. Cyrus Hinton is the founder and managing partner of Law Offices of O. Cyrus Hinton, P.A.
Mr. Hinton is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and was graduated from Crest Senior High School in Shelby, NC, before earning a degree cum laude in Sociology from Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Mr. Hinton then attended the University of Richmond, T.C. Williams School of Law in Richmond, Virginia, on an academic scholarship. While in law school, Cyrus was a strong advocate for the voiceless, participating as an advocate for students accused of honor code violations and interning in the Social Security Clinic representing a claimant seeking disability benefits.
After graduating from law school, Cyrus took and passed the South Carolina Bar Exam. Cyrus first practiced as a criminal defense attorney in Columbia, South Carolina before relocating to his current locations. In 2000, Cyrus founded the Law Offices of O. Cyrus Hinton, P.A., which he hopes will become one of the premier personal injury firms in the state.
As a trial lawyer and skilled negotiator, Cyrus has resolved many personal injury and employment cases in South Carolina. Cyrus is a member of the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the National Bar Association and the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives.
